Crayon Box Quilts: Eleanor Burns Signature Quilt

This quilt was inspired by an adorable children’s book, Gabby Quilts for Friends, written by Michael McCormick and illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller. The story is about a little girl, Gabby, who realized that she needs something warm for the winter ahead. Of course, her friends all have different ideas about what the quilt should be like. The Burns grandchildren love the story. Your young ones will too! Available at www.quiltinaday.com and stores everywhere.

Color your day “fun” with Crayon Box Quilts. Pick 10 or 14 of your favorite colors of Fat Quarters. Shake the fabrics up to create a random order! This quilt is super easy to make and very forgiving for all levels of sewers.

A Crayon Box Quilt makes a great project for introducing children
to quilt making, charity groups and even “Strip Exchanges” for smaller sewing groups. Definitely a Quilt in a Day!
