Lemax Old English Telephone Booth

A Call Home: Classic Telephone BoothThere’s something wonderfully nostalgic about stepping into a gleaming telephone booth—that beloved icon of mid-20th century street life! This charming miniature captures the essence of those iconic red British telephone boxes (and their American cousins), which became cultural symbols of connection and urban infrastructure. Telephone booths exploded in popularity from the 1920s through the 1970s, serving as lifelines for quick calls when you were away from home. Before mobile phones rewrote the rules, these little glass-and-metal refuges were essential gathering points—places where you could duck away from the weather, fish for coins in your pocket, and connect with loved ones. The telephone booth represents a more deliberate era of communication, when making a call meant intention, purpose, and a moment of privacy carved out of the busy street.Your village truly comes alive with the addition of this timeless accessory. Whether positioned at a street corner, outside a shop, or near a transit stop, this sturdy metal booth adds authentic character and a touch of vintage charm to any miniature scene. It’s the perfect companion piece for creating those bustling downtown streetscapes or quiet small-town moments where life moves a little slower and personal connection still holds its magic.Materials & Construction: Detailed metal construction with authentic booth design and proportionsDimensions: 3 inches high × 1.2 inches wide × 1.3 inches deep (7.7 cm × 3.1 cm × 3.2 cm)Design Details: Classic telephone booth styling with period-accurate detailing suitable for multiple village settingsFeatures: Non-electrical accessory; universally compatible with village displays; standard finishingCollection: General Products, 2004 release
